Buying a humidifier may help protect against COVID-19 indoors, says associate professor Dasantila Golemi-Kotra

As Canadians head inside for winter, they may want to consider humidifying their homes, Dasantila Golemi-Kotra, an associate professor in the Department of Biology, tells CTV News. That’s because in the low humidity of our heated homes, virus particles and respiratory droplets can travel further than they do during warm weather outside, she says, and wearing a mask outdoors in winter may also make sense.
